credit rating is important

Close your accounts only if you no longer need them and not just to increase your Credit Rating score. If you transfer balances of old accounts to new ones or those you’re determined to keep active, you might just end up damaging rather than improving your Credit Rating score.

Ask for your assistance
At the end of the day, however, if you still Think you need help then there’s no shame in waving the white flag and asking for assistance from those capable of giving it. If you feel you truly need the services of a Credit counselor then go ahead! That’s better than pretending different and allowing your situation to worsen.
